The hike from Km 104 to Machu Picchu is an easy and short alternative to our Classic Inca Trail.

Perfect for those who want to arrive at Machu Picchu through the Sungate "Intipunku" but don't like hard climbs and altitude (on this hike we only move between 2000-2650 mts).

We will stay in a comfortable hotel in Aguas Calientes and have the 2nd day entirely to explore magic "Machupicchu" before returning to Cusco.

Day 1:
CUSCO - WIÑAYWAYNA - MACHUPICCHU Early in the morning we will take the train to Km 104 where we begin our hike. From the archeological site of "Chachabamba" (2250 mts) we climb for about 2 ½ hours towards the fascinating archeological site of "Wiñaywayna" (2650 mts) where we will enjoy a pick nick in a unique surrounding. In the afternoon we continue through cloud forest towards the famous Sungate "Intipunku" from where we have our first panoramic view onto marvelous "Machupicchu". A short descent brings us to our final destination from where we drive down to the village Aguas Calientes. Optional visit of the natural hot springs and overnight in a comfortable hotel.

Day 2:
MACHUPICCHU - CUSCO After Breakfast we take the first bus up to "Machupicchu" to enjoy sunrise in this mysterious site before the other tourists arrive from Cusco. We will visit "The lost City of the Inca" with our guide and still have some free time for personal exploration. In the afternoon the bus will take us down to Aguas Calientes for the train ride back to Cusco. Transfer to the Hotel.
